Service Within

The church is built on the time, talent and gifts of many. Below are many opportunities for you to serve. Please consider your special gifts and skills, the amount of time you want to commit to service and where your true interests and passions are.  If you are interested in any of these areas of service, please contact us.

Serving in Worship

Greeter
Greet people with a smile and a handshake as they arrive for worship.  Time commitment: 10 - 15 minutes before the service.

Infant/Toddler Care
Care for children from birth to age 3 during worship service.  Time commitment: 1 hour

Vocalists/Instrumentalists
Special music is performed weekly during services.

Serving Youth

Invest in youth by providing resources, people, programs, opportunities and places for youth to grow in faith and service. Below are the many opportunities we offer. Please consider your time, talents and interest in selecting a role that works well for you.

Sunday School Teacher
Teach Sunday School to students, ages 3 through 6th grade, individually or on a team.  Curriculum, materials and training are provided.  Classes are offered Sunday mornings and evenings.  Time commitment: 2 - 4 hours per month.

Discovery Bible Clubs Leader
Teach students, ages 4 through 6th grade, individually or on a team.  Curriculum, materials and training are provided.  Time commitment: 2 - 4 hours per month.

Vacation Bible School Adult Leaders
Lead a specific portion of the VBS experience.  Teach young students, based on a weekly theme.  Time commitment: three hours daily for one week in July

Youth Adult Leader
Teach youth from 7th to 12th grade, individually or on a team.  Classes are offered Sunday mornings and evenings.  Teen Discovery is offered on Wednesday evenings.  Time commitment: 2 - 4 hours per month.

Serving Through Stewardship

Using your time, talents and treasures in a life-style response to the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Garden Group
Work with others to develop and maintain flower beds and landscaping at our site.  Planting, design, planning and maintenance work.  Time commitment: varies

Lawn Mowing
Mow and trim grass as part of a volunteer team.  Time commitment: varies

Property Maintenance
Use painting, woodworking, electrical, plumbing and other mechanical skills to repair, maintain and build items at church that promote effective ministry.  Time commitment: varies by project

Serving Community Life

Expand ministries to welcome and support families and individuals, foster belonging, share faith with one another, and meet human needs so that everyone is cared for and empowered to care for others.

Fellowship Sunday Team
Help warm and arrange dishes, prepare glasses, tables, etc.  After the meal help with clean up.  Time commitment: 1 hour, 3 - 4 times per year

Prayer Team
Pray for those who are ill or in need of strength in their time of trouble or sorrow.  Prayer requests are communicated via email or phone calls.  Time commitment: some time daily/weekly on your own

Meal Ministry
Provide meals to families in crisis and serve meals at funerals.  The team captain makes calls when meals are needed.

Serving in Administration

There are several ways you can help the church with some of the administrative tasks that occur regularly.

Publicity Committee
Help with promotion of the church and church events to the community through contacting local newspapers and radio stations.  Time commitment: as needed

Photographer
Take candid and posed photos of ministry events, projects, meetings, etc. for use in various church publications and on the church website.  Time commitment: as needed

Video Recorder
Take videos of ministry life and special events.  Time commitment: as needed

Multimedia Team
Provide sound and video support for services. Time commitment: varies

Website Team
Work on the development and maintenance of the church website.  Time commitment: work online per assignment
