Then Jesus came to them. He said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. So you must go and make disciples of all nations. Baptize them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Matthew 28: 18-19
Bethel is a church committed to the instructions of Jesus in the Great Commission. Our missionary efforts began in 1974 when we co-sponsored a Filipino seminary student’s study at Texas Baptist Institute. From this effort our current successful missionary work in the Phillipines was born. While the Phillipine missions are where most of our missionary efforts are focused, Bethel does support other missionary works.
We believe the New Testament pattern for mission work involved bi-vocational ministers receiving support from various churches as they went about the business of planting churches throughout the known world. It is our desire at Bethel to partner with men called by God to organize self-supporting churches in whatever mission field the Lord provides.
