How can I join Bethel?

Joining Bethel Missionary Baptist Church is not a complicated thing.  It simply means you wish to come together with us in service to Jesus Christ.  At the end of each service there will be an invitation to join.  Simply walk down the aisle and tell our Pastor that you wish to join our church.

You can join Bethel in one of the following ways:

  • Profession of faith

This includes people who are accepting Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and will follow Christ in baptism.

  • By letter from another Baptist church

"By letter" means you are a member of another Baptist church and are wanting to transfer your membership.  Your current church will send us a "letter" stating you are a member in good standing and have been scripturally baptized.

  • By statement

If you are a member of a non Baptist church then you may join on your "statement" of faith in Jesus Christ as your personal Savior.  Our Pastor will counsel you regarding whether or not you will need to be scripturally baptized.

  • By baptism

This group includes people who have made a profession of faith in Jesus Christ as their personal Savior but who have never been baptized.

How do you benefit from church membership?

  • You benefit from Biblical instruction

"All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that all God’s people may be thoroughly equipped for every good work." 2 Timothy 3: 16 - 17

  • You benefit from fellowship

"And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching."  Hebrews 10: 24 - 25

  • You benefit from corporate prayer

"In every place of worship, I want men to pray with holy hands lifted up to God, free from anger and controversy." 1 Timothy 2:8

  • You benefit from mutual assistance

"Suppose someone sees a brother or sister in need and is able to help them. If he doesn’t take pity on them, how can the love of God be in him?  Dear children, don’t just talk about love. Put your love into action. Then it will truly be love." 1 John 3: 17 - 18

  • You benefit from community

"Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved." Acts 2: 46 - 47
